2019–PRESENT

AK Cultural Planning is leading an assessment and strategic planning process for Audubon Centers, the largest network of nature centers in the United States. The team, which includes HG & Co and PROS Consulting, will develop an integrated plan that addresses audience, programming, and financial goals.

A three-phase process is underway, including:

  • Critical examination of all Centers, including financial performance, market opportunities, EDI, audience engagement, programmatic models, conservation opportunities, donors, partners, and potential for innovation;

  • Strategy to optimize network and amplify impact by inspiring conservation action to support birds and their habitats;

  • Action plans to align programs and operations, and ensure effective implementation of strategy in the coming years..

The plan will enhance delivery and impact of Audubon’s mission by connecting conservation priorities directly with communities across the country; and ensuring a sustainable financial model to drive growth. The outcome will be amplified reach and impact on Audubon’s existing and future audiences, members, and stakeholders.
